Cancel your subscription
Open Locked In, go to Settings and tap Cancel subscription. That's it: you won't be charged again, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Deleting the app doesn't cancel your subscription. If you can't get into the app, email us from the address you used to subscribe and we'll cancel it for you.
Get a refund
If it's been less than 30 days since your first payment, email us and we'll refund it in full. No questions. How refunds work
Turn the lock on or off
The lock lives in Locked In, under Settings. When you turn it on, your iPhone asks for Screen Time permission and you choose the apps to lock. When you turn it off, the real apps open again as normal.
Log in or out of your accounts
You log in on each app's own login page, inside Locked In. Your password goes straight to Instagram, YouTube or whichever app it is; we never see it. To log out, go to Settings in Locked In and tap Log out next to the app.
If an app asks you to confirm it's you, that's normal the first time you log in from somewhere new. Follow its steps and you're in.
Delete your data
Email us from the address you used to subscribe and ask us to delete your data. It's free and we won't ask why. We'll confirm when it's done, within 30 days. Deleting your data or the app doesn't cancel your subscription: cancel it first. More in our privacy policy.
Common questions
Screen Time is free. Why pay for Locked In?
Screen Time comes with an Ignore Limit
button, and most people tap it within days. It also can't take Reels out and leave your messages: it's the whole app or nothing. Locked In removes Reels and Shorts, keeps everything else, and keeps the real apps locked. Try it free for 3 days and decide.
Will I lose my messages, Stories or account?
No. Locked In doesn't change or delete anything on your accounts. You use each app's own website inside Locked In, minus Reels and Shorts.
Can I still post?
Yes. You can post, reply to Stories and send messages. What goes is Reels, suggested posts and the feed that never ends.
What about Reels my friends send me?
They show up in your messages greyed out and won't open, so one link can't pull you back into Reels. Your conversations work as usual.
The lock stopped working. What do I do?
Open Locked In and turn the lock on again. After an iOS update, a reinstall or restoring a backup, your iPhone can drop the Screen Time permission without telling you. Turning the lock back on asks for it again.
Is Locked In made by Instagram or YouTube?
No. Locked In is an independent app made by Locked In App LLC. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook or their owners.
How much does it cost?
Locked In is free for 3 days. You'll see the price in the app before your trial starts, and you can cancel in one tap.
I was charged and I don't know why.
Your free trial probably ended. Email us within 30 days of that payment and we'll refund it in full and cancel your subscription.
Which apps does it work with?
Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and Facebook. On each one, Locked In takes out the short-video feed and leaves everything else.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Locked In is on iPhone only for now.
